I started my first company De La Torre Landscaping in 2001, while serving in the Coast Guard. In 2004 when my duty was complete, I went full time, specializing in designing and building outdoor living spaces, and providing maintenance with all the projects we have done.

In 2009, after focusing on Eco friendly practices and methods, we changed the name to AllGreen Landscape Company. We decided to convert all our machines to propane, which is 80% less harmful to the environment than gas machines, and propane is less expensive than gas because it is domestically produced, so we can be more competitive. We also focused on green construction, working with green builders focusing on permeable pavers, rain gardens, and bio- retention. The largest asset that AllGreen as a landscape contractor in Virginia has is our attention to detail, and customer retaining efforts.

According to the EPA Statistics, one gas mower spews 87 lbs. of the greenhouse gas CO2, and 54 lbs. of other pollutants into the air every year. In the United States, about 54 million Americans mow their lawns each week, using 800 million gallons of gas per year and producing tons of air pollutants . A traditional gas powered lawn mower produces as much air pollution as 43 new cars each being driven 12,000 miles. By converting to propane powered commercial lawn mower our company can reduce 80 percent of our greenhouse gas emissions.

Our company model is based on providing ecologically-friendly landscaping for the highly populated Washington D.C. Metro area. By using electric and propane powered tools, we believe that we can significantly decrease our emissions, and also contribute to expanding the knowledge of this technology. As of the 2006 Census, there were approximately 2.5 Million people who populated this area, and the growth continues to accelerate in this area . Therefore, there is a large consumer base available to provide our services to, and to promote the technology available.
